Incorporated as an independent, tax-exempt foundation, The Foundation for Space Exploration (FSX) funds eligible individuals and organizations who undertake scientific, educational, and charitable activities that promote the Foundation's Missions. Support is given to projects that help maximize the scientific, economic, and social benefits on Earth of the exploration of space and the development of space-related skills, processes, facilities and technologies.

FSX makes gifts in three ways:

1. Recognition Grants: FSX awards grants in support of outstanding work, as recognized by members of our Board of Directors and Council of Advisors, of organizations and individuals engaged in activities that promote the FSX's missions. Applications for grants are not accepted for this category of award.
    
2. Grants from Restricted Gifts: FSX makes awards pursuant to the stated donative intent of duly-accepted restrictive gifts to the Foundation.
    
3. FSX Mission Grants Program: FSX periodically announces the availability of grant funding for research in selected areas of interest within its Mission. (FSX is not accepting applications at this time; please check back later.)
